Where are you located?
Heritage Sandy Springs is nestled in the heart of the city, surrounded by Sandy Springs Circle, Sandy Springs Place, Blue Stone Road, and Hildebrand Drive. We are across the street to the north of the CityWalk (Kroger) shopping center, one block south of the new City Springs.

When is the park open to the public?
The park is open 365 days a year from dawn until dusk, unless there is a private rental on site. To check our rental calendar, please email us. Please note that the administrative building is for employee use only and there are no public restrooms.

Is the park handicap accessible?
Yes, the park is completely handicap accessible. There are designated handicap parking spots at the base of the driveway located at the corner of Sandy Springs Circle and Hilderbrand Drive, as well as at the administrative building (6110 Blue Stone Road).

Are pets allowed in the park?
Yes, pets are allowed in the park (outdoors only). As adopted in Ordinance No. 2006-02-11 Chapter 8 Article 2 Section 4 (i): Pets. All pets must be on a leash and the owner is responsible for disposal of pet waste. For your convenience, pet waste bags are provided at several locations on-site.

Can your park be used for group events?
While small groups are allowed to use the park for picnics and similar brief gatherings, there is no guarantee that the park will be open for your preferred day/time. To ensure your group will have exclusive access to the park, as well as indoor amenities, it must be a paid rental. Contact us to learn more.

Do I need a special permit to have an event?
If your event will affect the surrounding public space (i.e. street closures) or be open to the public (i.e. ticket sales), you may be required to obtain a permit through the City of Sandy Springs. Visit the city website to learn more.

Do you have on-site parking?
There is free parking at our administrative building off Blue Stone Road, as well as in the HSS-labeled lot off Sandy Springs Place. Street parking is open to the public but parking at CityWalk is for customers only and towing is enforced. Additional lots may be available on weekends and weeknights. Download our parking map here.

Is alcohol permitted in the park?
Alcohol is NOT permitted. As adopted in City Ordinance #2006-02-11, Chapter 8, Article 2, Section 4 (a): Alcoholic beverages. It shall be unlawful for any person to possess and/or consume any alcoholic beverage, or be under the influence of alcoholic, malt and/or vinous beverage, within in any public park and/or within any building or facility under the supervision of the Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department unless such usage is expressly permitted by signage or published rules of the particular park or recreation building. Exceptions include Heritage Sandy Springs’ sponsored events in which HSS has obtained a permit, and facility rentals for which liquor liability insurance and a licensed bartender are provided.

Is smoking allowed in the park?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the park. Designated smoking areas are located on sidewalks around the park, as well as behind the administrative building.

Can I take pictures or film at the park?
Yes you may! Please contact us to make sure that the park will not be closed for a private rental during the time you’d like to take pictures or video. Production companies interested in filming in the City’s parks must first fill out an event questionnaire and then apply for a filming permit.

Do you have any employment opportunities?
Heritage Sandy Springs is a non-profit organization with a small staff. While full-time positions are not currently available, we do have a large need for volunteers! Contact us to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
