FESTIVAL ENTERTAINMENT

The 2018 Sandy Springs Festival featured expanded music offerings with a strong Southern rock feel, as well as a variety of international performances on the Cultural Corner stage. We had an amazing time at our FREE Saturday evening concert and Sunday’s Battle of the Bands once again blew us away with talented local amateur groups. Heritage Sandy Spring Museum and Park -Grit-Women-Ad
Although women were among the earliest settlers within the Sandy Springs area, their stories have consistently been told in the background to men. This year, the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum shines a spotlight on the achievement and voices of women throughout Sandy Springs history in our newest exhibit “Grit, Gumption, and Grace: The Women of Sandy Springs.” Grit, Gumption, and Grace (GGG) will highlight the impact, roles, and accomplishments of women throughout our 150-year history.

Join us for a FREE concert on Saturday evening! Saved By The Band will play your favorite covers from the 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. (as soon as the festival closes) with the concert starting at 7:00 p.m.

There are a limited number of RESERVED TABLES available for purchase which include seating for six and complimentary beverages. Reserve your table HERE before they sell out! There is also a VIP upgrade available which includes a covered veranda, private bar, and indoor restrooms. Click here to learn more.

The show is BYOB and coolers are permitted. Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q and King of Pops will be on site, and beer/wine/soda/water will be sold with proceeds benefiting Heritage Sandy Springs. We’ll also be joined by our friends from Tailgatehouse so you can keep up with football scores during the concert. Smoking is prohibited. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome; no outside tables.

Saved by the Band emerged from the ashes of a thousand broken bands. Like a mighty phoenix – that happens to know a bunch of Weezer and Billy Idol songs – they have learned your favorite songs and wish to blow your socks off. You WILL be sockless after seeing Saved By The Band. So, pack an extra pair and join us on Saturday, September 22 for an awesome time!

Following the Sandy Springs Festival on Sunday evening, City Springs will present HOME BY DARK on the City Green. HOME BY DARK is a “Nashville meets New York meets LA meets Atlanta, storytelling, romantic, pierce your heart, laugh ‘til it hurts, reminds me of momma, dance in the aisle, that’s my favorite song, evening you’ll never forget.” Heritage Sandy Springs encourages festival attendees to stay and enjoy this free event with special guests Marcia Ramirez, Michael Logen, and Michael Peterson.
