Our popular American Girl® & Boy Club Summer Camp will return for its 4th consecutive year in 2019! History comes to life as Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park summer campers explore the past through games, historic simulations, performances, crafts, and hands-on activities through the unique historical perspectives of the American Girl® and Boy Dolls.
Camp Begins June 17-21
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
During week ONE we’ll be exploring the 1950s with Mary-Ellen Larkin. Using STEAM guided activities, we’ll learn about rockets and space by conducting different experiments. We’ll play games that were invented and popularized in the 1950s, learn about life for kids in the 50s, fashion and culture, the rise of the suburban neighborhood, and much more. All while having tons of FUN!
June 17- 21, Mon-Fri, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1950s Mary-Ellen Larkin)
July 8 – 12, Mon-Fri, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1960s Melody Ellison)
July 22 – July 26, Mon-Fri, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1970s Julie Albright)
For those who have attended our programs before, the summer camp sessions are all new, providing even more in-depth content, and even more interaction with the historic period as we will spend an entire week with one doll! With fun new themes each week, campers enjoy a variety of immersive camp experiences all summer long. Choose between three separate week-long sessions in June and July. Each week of camp costs $300, which includes snacks and food! Space is limited, so register early.
Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, and the Sandy Springs Society.
